Linear pair of angles are formed when two lines intersect each other at a single point.

$\angle AOP$ and $\angle BOP$ are Linear pair.

Linear pair are: ($\angle 1$ and $\angle 2$) , ($\angle 1$ and $\angle 4$) , ($\angle 2$ and $\angle 3$) , ($\angle 3$ and $\angle 4$), ($\angle 5$ and $\angle 6$), ($\angle 5$ and $\angle 7$), ($\angle 6$ and $\angle 8)$ and ($\angle 7$ and $\angle 8$).

Vertically Opposite Angles: When two lines intersect each other, then the opposite angles, formed due to intersection are called vertical angles or vertically opposite angles.

$\angle BOC$ and $\angle AOD$ are a pair of vertically opposite angle.

$\angle 1$ and $\angle 3;\angle 2$ and $\angle 4;\angle 5$ and $\angle 8$ and $\angle 6$ and $\angle 7$ are pair of vertically opposite angles.
