Almost all the substances we know undergo a change. Playing clay undergoes a physical change when it is moulded into a caterpillar as shown in the figure it is a temporary change. There is no new substance formed as the chemical composition of caterpillar is same as that of playing clay. There is only change in the physical properties such as shape, colour and size.
