Observe the picture. It depicts mangroves of Sunderbans and the numerous roots surrounding the main tree. Into which kind of tropic movement can this be categorized?
Both B & C
In Sunderbans, the roots of mangroves show adaptive features because of water logged conditions. Roots grow upward (negative geotropism) and also show negative hydrotropism.
This happens for proper aeration of roots which otherwise doesn’t happen in waterlogged conditions.
