The sugar solution in flask A is transformed into ethanol and carbon dioxide by the activity of yeast. Fermentation is the term for this process.
In flask A, carbon dioxide gas is released.
The creation of carbon dioxide gas in flask A causes the lime water in test tube B to get milky, which flows via the delivery tube into the lime water in the test tube and makes it milky.
