When electric current is passed through the copper solution in which copper sulphate is present in the form of copper and sulphate ions, copper gets dissociated from the electrode connected to the positive terminal of the battery (anode).

It goes into the solution and attracts sulphate ions towards it.

The free copper ion from the solution gets drawn to the electrode connected to the negative terminal of the battery (cathode), and gets deposited on it.
