Obtain the roots of the following quadratic equation by using the general formula the solution:

We have the given equation
3x22x+2=0
Here,
a=3
b=2
c=2
The formula for the roots of quadratic equation is b±(b24ac)122a
now,
First root x1=(2)+[(2)24×3×(2)]2×312
=1+73
And, second roots x2=(2)[(2)24×3×(2)]2×312
=173
Hence, 1+73,173 are the roots of given quadratic equation.
