Solution

Dear Student,

The endoskeleton is hard, calcareous part that provides shape and support to the body. It is also known as the internal skeleton and made up of bones and cartilage. Both bones and cartilage are made up of connective tissue. The connective tissue of bones contains calcium and phosphorous salts.

Cartilage is made up of chondrocytes. These specialised cells produce an extracellular matrix which is composed of collagen fibres, proteoglycan, and elastin fibres.
