Solution

The correct option is C i)241,(ii)641
Ollie’s plan was to read the entire book in 2 days.
Number of pages to be read on Saturday: 392 pages
Number of pages to be read on Sunday: 249 pages

She reads 400 pages on Saturday.

She wanted to read 392 pages on Saturday but she actually read 400 pages. So, she read 8 extra pages. Thus, we add 8 to 392. This gives us 400.
Since she read 8 pages more on Saturday, she will have to read 8 fewer pages on Sunday. So, we subtract 8 from 249. This gives us 241.
So, the total numbers of pages in the book =400+241=641
