(a) Find the distance between the two towns in km.
(b) How far apart would the two towns be on a map with a scale of 1 : 50 000?

b)
when the scale is 1:50000
then the two cities are
1 cm represents 50000 cmas the cities are 16,50000 cm aparthence on the map they will be 165000050000=33 cmHence the two towns will be 33 cm apart.
