Solution

Given,

Number of branches peepal tree has =13

Number of birds living on each branch =14

So, the total number of birds living in the tree =13×14

=182

Step:1

Now, consider that the number of parrots is x

The number of crows is y

The number of sparrows is z

According to the question, twice as many parrots were crows

2x=y

Similarly, twice as many crows were sparrows.

2y=z

Step:2

Now, according to the given condition,

x+y+z=182x+2x+2y=182y=2x,z=2yx+2x+2×2x=182y=2xx+2x+4x=1827x=182x=1827x=261x=26

Step:3

The number of parrots x=26

The number of crowsy=2x

=2×26x=26

The number of crowsy=52

The number of sparrowsz=2y

=2×52y=52

The number of sparrows z=104

Therefore, the number of sparrows z=104

The number of parrots x=26

The number of crowsy=52
