The correct option is C Y will turn in the anticlockwise direction.
The south pole of magnet X repels the south pole of magnet Y whereas it attracts the north pole of magnet Y. In other words, bottom end of Y moves rightwards and top end leftwards. Hence, it will rotate in anticlockwise direction.
