Solution

The correct option is C Sporulation

Sporulation
During unfavorable conditions the Amoeba develops a three-layered tough wall around itself called a cyst. This process is known as encystation. The encysted amoeba divides by multiple fission to form pseudopodiospores. Upon the advent of favourable conditions, the cyst ruptures releasing the pseudopodiospores, each of which grows into new individuals and forms multiple amoebae. This phenomenon is known as sporulation.

Fragmentation
In fragmentation, the body of the parent organism breaks into many fragments which later grow into new individuals. For example Sargassum,Spirogyra, etc.

Binary fission
Binary fission is the method of asexual reproduction seen in Amoeba under favourable conditions. In this method, the nucleus elongates and divides into two followed by division of cytoplasm, giving rise to two daughter cells. Example Amoeba.

Final answer
(a). Sporulation
