I will first guide Amit about the types of driver’s licenses:

• Learner’s License: This is a temporary license issued to learn to drive a motor vehicle. It's valid for up to 6 months.
• Permanent License: One becomes eligible for a permanent license one month after issuing the learner’s license.

Then I will guide him in relating the documents required to get a learner’s license:

1. Residence Proof (attested copy of any of the following) Ration Card/ Electricity Bill/ Tax Receipts/ Life Insurance policy/ Voter ID Card/ Passport/ Aadhar Card.
