Solution

The correct option is C 35%
Let the M.P be Rs.100
Then the S.P at 20% discount.=Rs.(10020)=Rs.80
By selling in this price he makes a profit of 20%.
C.P.=100×S.P.100+profit%
=Rs.100×80100+20=Rs.100×80120=Rs.2003.
In the second case, the discount =10%.
Then, the S.P.=Rs.(10010)=Rs.90.
Profit =S.P.C.P.=Rs.(902003)=Rs.703
Profit% =ProfitC.P.×100p.c=7032003×100p.c=70×100200=35%
