The correct option is C

-(x+2)


Let the number be x.

Then, adding two to this number makes it x+2.

So, twice the sum becomes 2(x+2).

We now need to subtract 2(x+2) from x+2.

i.e., (x+2)2(x+2)=(x+2)(2x+4)=x+22x4=(x2x)+(24)=(x)+(2)=x2=(x+2)
