Solution

(A)-III

  1. DIBAL-H is used to do partial reductions of Nitriles to imines, which are then hydrolyzed to aldehydes in the presence of dilute hydrochloric acid.
  2. The aldehydes change into alcohol because of their reducing nature in presence of NaBH4.
  3. Resultant Alcohol on the reaction with sulfuric acid undergo and forms ether.

(B)-I, IV, VI

  1. Ozonolysis of alkene causes oxidative cleaving of a double bond resulting in the carbonyl compound.
  2. NaBH4 is a source of hydride ions in the reaction, which results in the formation of alcohol from aldehyde.
  3. Alcohol and carboxylic acid in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid give ethyl acetate.

(C)-II, III, V

  1. Reaction in presence of KCN provides cyanide ion replacing the chlorine atom from the compound.
  2. All acid derivates are hydrolyzed(cleaved by water) to form a carboxylic acid.
  3. Carboxylic acids are reduced to alcohols in the presence of LiAlH4
  4. Alcohols on further reaction with concentrated sulfuric acid form ether.

(D)- II

  1. CO2Me group is reduced in the presence of LiAlH4 to alcohol.
  2. Alcohols on further reaction with concentrated sulfuric acid to form ether.

Therefore,

Column-I

Column-II

(A)
