Solution

  1. Metals are able to donate or lose electrons from their valence shell.
  2. Based on the ability of metals to donate electrons metals are arranged in the decreasing order of chemical reactivity.
  3. The metals present in the highest position of this list are more reactive and will displace the metals present in the lowest position.
  4. The reactivity of copper is more than silver so copper displaces silver from the silver nitrate (AgNO3) solution.

So, the metal that can displace silver from AgNO3 solution is copper.
