Solution

  1. Metals are the elements that are able to donate or lose electrons present on their valence shell.
  2. Based on their ability to lose electrons metals are arranged in the decreasing order of their reactivity and are called the reactivity series.
  3. Metals present in the earth's crust are found to be in the combined state or in the native state.
  4. Native form means the metal is present purely in its elemental form.
  5. The metals that are present in the lower list of reactivity series are less reactive and are found in their elemental or native state.
  6. And these less reactive metals include gold, silver, etc.

So, a metal that is present in the native state is gold.
