Solution

To draw the graph for the given linear equation, we need to first plot
the points which lie on it, join them to get a straight line.
First equation is y=2x1
Substitute different values of x in the equation and calculate to get corresponding values of y.
x
y=2x1
Point (x,y)
0
1(0,1)
23(2,3)
47(4,7)
13(1,3)
37(3,7)

Plot these points on the graph paper and join them using a straight line.
Second equation is y=2x
Substitute different values of x in the equation and calculate to get corresponding values of y.
x
y=2x
Point (x,y)
0
0(0,0)
24(2,4)
48(4,8)
12(1,2)
36(3,6)

Plot these points on the graph paper and join them using a straight line.
For third equation y=2x+1, from x=2 to 4,
Substitute different values of x from x=2 to 4 in the equation and calculate to get corresponding values of y.
x
y=2x+1
Point (x,y)
0
1(0,1)
25(2,5)
49(4,9)
11(1,1)
23(2,3)

Plot these points on the graph paper and join them using a straight line.
All the three lines are parallel to each other.
