  1. Persons with blood type A have antigen A on the surface of their RBCs and antibodies against antigen B in their plasma, whereas people with blood group B have the opposite situation.
  2. People with blood type A B have antigens A and B on the surface of their RBCs but no antibodies to either antigen in their plasma. People with blood group O do not have any antigens, however, they do have antibodies to both antigens, A and B.
