on what factor magnitude of magnetic field lined produced by a current carrying conductor depend

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

The magnetic field at a point due to a current carrying conductor depends on the current through the conductor & the distance of the point from conductor.
(1) The magnitude of the magnetic field produced at a given point is directly proportional to the magnitude of the current passing through the conductor.
(2) The magnetic field produced by a given current in the conductor decreases as the distance from the conductor increases.
