Solution

Let P be the sum of money invested
Given : R=4,T=2
S.I. =PTR100
S.I=P×2×4100=2P25 ......... (i)
Now, A=P(1+4100)2
C.I. =AP
=P(1+4100)2P
=P(1+1610000+2×41001)
=P(1610000+80010000)
C.I.=P(81610000) ........ (ii)
It is given that,
|S.I.C.I.|=100
2P25P(81610000)=100
400P25×10000=100
P=62500
Hence, the sum of money invested is Rs. 62,500.
