Solution
The correct option is B 5th May 1789
The Estates General was the legislative body of France until the French Revolution. Whenever the king wanted the advice on certain issues he would call a meeting of the Estates General. The Estates General didn't meet regularly and had no real power. France was on verge of collapse and needed tax reforms therefore on 5th May 1789, King Louis XVI called a meeting of the Estates General. It was the first meeting of the Estates General called since 1614.
