Question

One angle of a linear pair is twice the other. How much is each?

Open in App
Solution

If two angles form a linear pair, then the sum of the degree measures of the angle is 180.

Let x= measure of the smaller angle

Then 2x= measure of the other angle.

So, x+2x=180o

3x=180o

x=1803

x=60

The measures of angles are 60 and 120.
