∴ n(S) = 52
Now,
Let B be the event of getting a face card.
We know:
Number of face cards = 12
$\therefore$ n (B) = 12
And,
P (B) = $\frac{12}{52}=\frac{3}{13}$
∴ Probability of getting a face card = $\frac{3}{13}$
