Given, that Garima travels 16 km with 4 litres of petrol. Let she requires $x$ litres of petrol to travel 36 km.

As the distance increases the petrol required also gets increased.

36 $\to$ $x$

$\Rightarrow$ $16\times x=36\times 4$ ( by cross multiplication)

$\Rightarrow$ $x$ = $\frac{36\times 4}{16}$ liters
