Solution

The correct option is B 0.685
The original of 0.5N HCl solution of 1 litre had 18.225 gm of HCl

Initially 18.225gm of HCl was dissolved in 1 liter of silution

After heating , mass of HCl dissolved in the reduced 600mL of solution was found to be (18.2253.25)gm=14.975 gm

Hence

Normality of new solution=Equivalent weight of HCl massVolume of solution in litre

N=14.497Equivalent weight of HCl600mL1000mL per litre

N=14.49736.450.6 litre

N=0.3977 Meq0.6 litre

N=0.685
