Work done by gas is given as,
W=V2V1PdV=V2V1kVdV
(PV=k=constant)
W=12k(V22V21) ...(i)
Applying ideal gas equation for 1 mol,
PV=RT
& P=kV
kV2=RT ...(ii)
From Eq.(i) & (ii) we can write,
k(V22V21)=RT2RT1=R(T2T1)
Substituting this value in equation (i),
W=R2(T2T1)
