Since, each vibrational mode, corresponds to two degrees of freedom, hence,
f=3(trans.)+3(rot)+8(vib)=14
Also, we know that
γ=1+2f
γ=1+214=87
Now, work done in adiabatic process is given by
W=nR(T1T2)γ1=1×8.314×(10)(871)=582 J
as W<0, work is done on the gas.
