For a polytropic process,

PVm=constant

nRTVVm=constant

TVm1=constant.............(2)

On comparing (1) and (2)
m1=1
m=2

For monoatomic gas, γ=53

Molar specific heat capacity of the gas in polytropic process is given as
C=Rγ1+R1m

C=R531+R12=R2
