The thermal decomposition of KClO3 is given as:
2KClO3(s)2KCl(s)+3O2(g)
The gaseous product i.e. O2(g) reacts with excess of Al:
3O2(g)+4Al(s)2Al2O3(s)
As per the stoichiometric data, 1 mole of KClO3 will give 32 mole of O2, which in turn, yields 1 mole of Al2O3.
