The correct option is A 5 and 1
Let the numbers be x and y
As per the given statement form a first equation as,
x=5y ----- (1)
Second equation as,
x+y=6 ---- (2)
By subtracting equation 1 and 2, we get
x5y=0
x+y=6
___________
6y=6
y=66=1
Put the value of y in equation (2)
x+1=6
x=61
x=5
Therefore, the numbers are 5 and 1.
