Solution
Adrenaline is secreted from the adrenal cortex and is known as emergency hormone. It is associated with regulating the potential for conditions needed for fight or flight. When the body is under stress, homeostasis is disturbed and this immediate response is described as preparing the body for 'fight or flight'. It increases alertness, pupillary dilation, raising of hairs or piloerection, mouth becomes dry because the secretion of gastric juices is decreased as the blood flow to the digestive system is also decreased.
