Combination behaves as a mirror of focal length feq

Here f1=f3=12 cm (given)

and f2=R2

112=(1.51)2RR=12 cm and f2=6 cm

1feq=112+16+112=13feq=3 cm

By mirror formula 1f=1v+1u

13=1v1121v=11213=1412=312 cm

v=4 cm
