So, the cost of $x p e n c i l s$ and $y f o u n t a i n p e n s$ is $= ₹ (3 \times x + 19 \times y)$
$= ₹ (3 x + 19 y)$
Therefore, The cost of $8$ pencils and $4$ fountain pens $= ₹ (8 \times 3 + 4 \times 19)$
$= ₹ (24 + 76)$
$= ₹ 100$ .
Hence, the cost of $8$ pencils and $4$ fountain pens is $₹ 100$ .
