Solution

The correct option is C 600 K
Given that,
For engine 1,
T1=900 K
For engine 2,
T2=400 K

Efficiency of engine 1 = Efficiency of engine 2
η1=η2
Both are reversible heat engine.
η1=1T2T1=1T2900

η2=1T2T2=1400T2
η1=η2
1T2900=1400T2
T2=900×400=30×20=600 K

Why this question?

Tips: If two heat engines have same efficiency, then Intermediate temperature = Higher temperature×Lower temperature
