Using Pythagoras theorem, diagonal is the hypotenuse

Other side $= \sqrt{(37 \times 37) - (12 \times 12)} = \sqrt{(1369 - 144)} = 35 c m$

$A r e a = 12 \times 35 = 420 m^{2}$
