The child may be suffering from the disease called as Kwashiorkor. This is a disease in which the person suffers due to deficiency of the protein. There is no effect of calorie (carbohydrate rich food) intake in these children. This is also known as protein malnutrition disorder. The other type of nutritional disorder may be due to the deficiency of vitamins. There is a different type of vitamins like A, B complex, C, D, E and K.
