Say one year ago, Laxman's salary was $x$ and Doper's salary was $y$.

Given, $\frac{x}{y}=\frac{3}{4}$........(i)

Say their present salaries are $x_1$ (Laxman) and $y_1$ (Doper).

Given, $\frac{x}{x_1}=\frac{4}{5};\frac{y}{y_1}=\frac{2}{3}$

And, $x_1+y_1=4160=>\frac{5x}{4}+\frac{3y}{2}=4160$

Using $x=\frac{3y}{4}$, we can write,

$\frac{15y}{16}+\frac{3y}{2}=4160=>y=\frac{320\times 16}{3}$

$\therefore x=\frac{3}{4}\times \frac{320\times 16}{3}=1280x_1=\frac{5}{4}\times 1280=1600$

Present salary of Laxman $=1600$
