Organisms having asexual reproduction show very little variations from each other. Why?

In asexual reproduction only single parent is involved due to which offsprings produced by this process show very little variations. The variations are only because of small inaccuracies in DNA copying. Hence, organisms obtained by asexual reproduction shows a high degree of similarity.
