Precambrian period of Archaeozoic era (3800 million years ago) is marked by origin of life. The first bacteria like chemoheterotrophic life forms were appeared during this period followed by origin of first algae like oxygenic photoautotrophs.
The Proterozoic era (2000 million years ago and spanned for 1500 million years), the era of early life, is marked by build up of oxygenic atmosphere and appearance of first eukaryotic cell.
