Our alimentary canal contains carbohydrates,proteins and lipids digesting enzymes.Normally these enzymes not digest our alimentary canal .explain the reason

There is a thick mucous layer which protects the internal lining of the alimentary canal from coming in contact with hydrochloric acid and the enzymes. If the protection is lost, gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers and so on are formed.
