  1. Plant fibres can not be digested by our body.
  2. But they are used by our intestines to form stool.
  3. Stool is the solid waste that is passed out of the body through anus.
  4. Fibres make our stool soft and easy to pass through the alimentary canal.
  5. Without fibres our stool would become hard and very difficult to pass out, therefore, fibres form an important part of our diet.
