1. Government of India set the legal age for marriage as 18 years for girls and 21 years for boys. Now, the legal age for girls has been shifted from 18 years to 21 years.
2. One should get married at a certain age because young age girls are not mentally and physically prepared to bear motherhood.
3. It can create complications both for the newborn and the mother.
4. Also, the boys before that age may not be mentally mature and financially secure enough to take on the responsibilities of a family.
