So, can you tell how many different paths are possible for Mr Modi to start from India to America and then to France and finally return to India.

Modi can travel to America from Indi in 3 ways (via Japan, Germany and Greece)

From America to France there are 2 ways (via Engl and Spain)

So altogether he can travel from India to France through America in 3×2 = 6 ways.

Now from France to India there are 2 ways to come(via China and Italy)

As above told he can reach France in 6 ways and now to return to India there are 6×2 = 12 ways.

So finally we can conclude that,

Modi can travel to France through America from India in 3×2 = 6 ways

Modi can return to India from France (consideri g the 6 possible ways to reach France) in (3×2) ×2 = 12 ways
