A man goes from city X to the city Y and returns to the city X on his motor bike. The distance between the two cities is 260km and the man takes 4 hours 20min to complete his journey. Find his average speed and average velocity in km/h.

We have distance and time .
We know that,
avg. Velocity=Displacement/time
avg. Speed =Distance/timeDisplacement = 0 ( as initial position is same as final position )
So, Average Velocity =0;
Distance = 260+260 = 520km
Time= 4hr 20 min
Average Speed =
520/4 (1/3)=

120km/hr
