Given the out of ten students , 3 scored less than 35, Let their score be a, b and c ( in ascending order )

3 scored more than 75 , let their score be x , y ,z ( in ascending order )

We know the score of the remaining students. Arranging the data in ascending order ,we have

a , b ,c , 36, 42,44 , 66, x , y ,z

Since there are 10 observations, the median of the given data is $\frac{1}{2}$[$(\frac{10}{2}{)}^{th}term$ + $(\frac{10}{2}+1{)}^{th}term$]

($\frac{10}{2}{)}^{th}term$ = 42

$(\frac{10}{2}+1{)}^{th}term$ = 44

Median = $\frac{1}{2}(44+42)$ = 43
