Solution

We have,

Total number of students in school=1800

Number of students who opted basketball=750

Number of students who opted cricket=800

Number of students who opted table tennis=1800-(750+800)

=1800-1550=250

Ratioofnumberofstudentswhooptedbasketballtothenumberofstudentswhooptedtabletennis=StudentswhooptedbasketballStudentswhooptedtabletennis=750250DividingnumeratoranddenominatorbytheirHCFi.e.250=31=3:1

Hence, Required ratio is 3:1
