Solution

We have,

Total number of students in school=1800

Number of students who opted basketball=750

Number of students who opted cricket=800

Ratioofnumberofstudentswhooptedcrickettothenumberofstudentswhooptedbasketball=StudentswhooptedcricketStudentswhooptedbasketball=800750DividingnumeratoranddenominatorbytheirHCFi.e.50=1615=16:15

Hence, Required ratio is 16:15
