Solution

Total number of students =1800
Student who opted football =750
Student who opted cricket =800
Students who opted hockey =1800(750+800)
=18001550
=250
(i) Ratio of number of student opting football to the number of students opting cricket
Ratio=750800=1516
Therefore Ratio is 15:16.

(ii) Ratio of the number of student opting football to the number of student opting hockey
Ratio=750250=31
Therefore Ratio is 3:1

(iii)Ratio of the number of students opting cricket to the total number of students
Ratio=8001800=49
Therefore Ratio is 4:9
